Quebe Sisters Band Interview with Stephen K. Peeples, 02-20-14 - Video
PUBLISHED:  Feb 25, 2014
DESCRIPTION:
The Quebe Sisters Band from Texas stopped at the Coffee Gallery in Altadena, Calif. for a pair of sold-out shows Feb. 20, 2014, and spoke with Santa Clarita journalist Stephen K. Peeples beforehand in this exclusive interview.

The Altadena shows were part of the group's Western swing supporting their third and latest album, "Every Which-A-Way."

The shows also introduced the new QSB lineup -- original members Grace, Sophia and Hulda Quebe on vocals and fiddles, and new members Penny Lea Clark and Katy Lou Clark, who play keyboards, guitar, mandolin and banjo and flesh out the band's sound in a fresh new way.

Former mentor, arranger, producer, guitarist and champion fiddle player Joey McKenzie has exited the group to spend more time off the road working on other projects, but "Every Which-A-Way" reflects the QSB's continued growth since 2010's "Timeless" album.

Catch up with the Quebes!
