I had the pleasure of demoing the very first Proteus. In fact, I still own the prototype. I loved it then and I love it even more now. The Proteus does envelope filter, cocked wah and sample and hold filter really well, all with analog circuitry. It's a ton of fun and I suggest you try one out if you're able. Or just take the punt!

I've purposely kept all chat out of this video so you're better able to read and hear what's going on. I'll bet that's a relief to many!

Improvements / changes from the original Proteus:
•Switchable bandpass and lowpass filter.
•New design closer to the Maestro Filter Sample Hold.
•Can be powered at up to 18 volts for maximum headroom.
•Resonance knob added allows the filter to go from subtle to nasty greasy synthesizer grit.
