Deersky's Soundteller Records returns this week for what is easily the labels biggest release thus far. As you may know we've been singing the praises of Argentina's Mike Griego for quite some time. His recent releases on Cid Inc's Replug imprint and Luis Bondio's Classound Recordings have been excellent and we feel he's one of most exciting up and coming artists in progressive house. Here he makes his Soundteller debut with 'Asteroids' which comes with a top notch set of remixes from: Cid Inc. and Stas Drive.

Mike's original begins with a powerful, rolling groove that is accented with a grinding synth line and some well processed electronics. Marching drums, quirky hooks and a spooky synth lead add mightily to the groove as the main breakdown approaches. The wavering quality of the lead casts an incredibly ominous vibe over the production as it picks back up after the short break. The record concludes with a very powerful dance floor presence as dark undertones and commanding groove lead the way. Quality work from Mike.

The first remix is supplied by the leader and arguably the creator of the modern day progressive techno sound: Cid Inc. Finnish producer Henri Hurtig aka Cid Inc. has gotten 2013 off to a great start. His remixes of Praveen Achary's 'Space Machine' and Luis Bondio & Santiago Garcia's 'Bottomless' were both chosen by Beatport as the #1 Must Hear Progressive House records for the week of their respective releases. And with a slew of quality projects in the pipeline 2013 looks to be the biggest year yet for Cid Inc. For his 'Asteroids' remix Cid Inc. has crafted another bomb massive bomb that's perfect for the dance floor. The fresh and futuristic sounding framework that Cid Inc. has become so loved for has never sounded better here. Full of perfectly processed electronics and trippy atmospherics which complement the powerful groove perfectly. The eerie components from Mike's original really shine during the main drop which is trippy and complete with a massive payoff. Huge stuff from Henri!

The final remix on the package comes from Stas Drive who has just come off a rocking remix of Manufactura Deep's 'Alien Empire' on Bermudos. For his 'Asteroids' remix Stas is on fine form again with another hazy atmospheric beauty. The breakdown in particular stands out with these long growling bass tones that really provide some unique tension. What follows is a wonderful psychedelic haze of textures that is utterly intoxicating and makes for a brilliant conclusion to the package. Amazing work turned in by all involved here and a massive release for Deersky's Soundteller Records who are looking very strong after this one!
