Robby Witt, our classmate, was diagnosed in August 2013 with a rare form of cancer at the just 4 weeks into residency and 7 weeks after getting married. He has since put his residency on hold and moved to MD Anderson in Houston for treatment. The funds raised will go directly towards purchasing health insurance, additional medical expenses, funding travel and housing during surgery, radiation, and rehab, and unexpected needs accrued while in Texas.

Nadia Ono is the spouse of Reyn Ono, our classmate. With Reyn graduating from pharmacy school and Nadia finishing the 4th year of her PhD at UC Davis, they were ready to start a family. Their plans were put on hold when she was diagnosed with a rare form of breast cancer at the age of 28. In addition to treatment, they completed a round of egg harvesting/IVF prior to chemo, since one of the chemotherapy drugs could cause permanent infertility. The funds raised will go towards medical expenses and treatment, including a round of egg harvesting/IVF.
