DESCRIPTION:
Broken Prayer's pretty cool, yeah. Comin' from Chicago, these experimental-ish hardcore punk group blew everyone away with their 2010 demo CD. With their then-upcoming "WOW b​/​w Pull A Kaczynski" release with Not Normal, the CD was reissued on tapes and sent out to the drool-drenched masses (that's you and I). Being their debut release, this tape's a hell of a lot more straight-forward with their savage hardcore delivery, and is mostly sans the more unorthodox synth insertion that's in their future releases. Still, what we've got here is still Broken Prayer, and Broken Prayer is fucking good. You've got spit-ridden n' nasty ragers like National Cum, and the slower n' more abnormal rock-ish jams like "You Were Right" and "I Smile For A Living". This tapes definitely an interesting listen, and still remains to be my favorite release from these weirdos. Still, their self-titled 12" and Misanthropocentric A.K.A. Droid's Blood LP are pretty damn rad too, so check those out if you haven't already. I included downloads to both of those below, so get boppin', boppers.
