DESCRIPTION:
Pete Devine has been playing and teaching guitar in the Philadelphia and South Jersey area since the '70's. He has degrees in both music and music Ed. from Rowan University and also studied guitar performance at Ithaca College. He's performed extensively in ensemble and solo settings playing jazz, rock and classical guitar. He's played with the instrumental trio, "Trio Nova" since 1992 and also performs regularly with the "Pete Devine/Robert Campbell Duo". He's released three CD's of both original and cover tunes with "Trio Nova" and appears as a guest artist on several more. He's taught guitar at "New Jersey School of Music", "The Haddonfield School of Creative and Performing Arts", the "Rowan Campus School of the Arts", "Nazareth Academy", "Holy Ghost Prep" and his own private studio. Pete also has experience as a recording engineer an producer. He worked as the manager of "TMP Studios" in Berlin, N.J. and was the owner/operator of "Sitting Duck Studio" in Audubon, N.J. Pete has composed music for solo guitar and ensembles and has a vast catalogue of arrangements of jazz and pop standards. He continues to teach and play music full time.
