In 1975 Roy visited and played a concert at the Pentridge Prison, in Australia. This was aired on a music show called Rage last week, they just played a snippet on their show. Thought you Orbison fans outside of Oz would love to see this relic.
During his tours he truly endeared himself to his legion of Oz fans by featuring a version of “Waltzing Matilda” at each show plus playing a special show for what must have been his most captivating audience when he played for prisoners of Pentridge Prison, Melbourne.
When he played Brisbane, which had just suffered a devastating flood, Roy donated his concert fee to the appeal fund which had just been set up. Says a lot about him as an individual as well as a gifted singer, songwriter and musician doesn't it ? OLD TIMES THEY R NOT FORGOTTEN on my YT CHANNEL.
