PELADO & FIX ME RECORDS

RIP PELADO RECORDS 1996-2009!
I am writing this from a computer at the local library, my computer went out back in November and I haven't been able to afford a new one since then. So after nearly 13 years I have chose to put Pelado Records to rest. There are numerous reasons some of which are: I feel the label has run it's course and more or less I accomplised what I set out to do with the label. That was to give unknown bands a chance to get heard.
With the music market the way it is right now it's really hard for a small label like Pelado to survive with out doing mostly trades and being able to turn around and sell those trades which means a mail order site that people will buy from etc. Sales just keep getting worse and worse to where basically nothing sells.
Right now I just can't put the effort needed to try and move product that I need for the label. I "suffer" from depression/anxiety and as much as I hate to admit it, it has affected the label. I need to get my self on track first. I love music to much to completely leave so I do plan ing a new label hopefully before the year is out and just start fresh. When your label isn't making even enough to break even it's really hard to keep putting out product. I could go on with a million reasons why it's ending but I'll stop there.
If I owe you trade material I will continue to fill those trades and if you bought a item please contact me because when my computer crashed (back in November) I lost all contact info, orders everything. I can check this from time to time @ the library.
Lastly I want to apologize to the bands who I had been talking to about release's etc. It just wouldn't be fare to you to have me put something out under these circumstance's.
Fix Me Records will more or less end as well for now but may come back or it may just all come under one new label someday. The SKULL STOMP 7inch will still be coming out, it is finally done, I just need to pay the 2nd half deposit.
Lastly I want to say thank you to all those who have supported Pelado Records since 1996, you've been great! Most of all I want to thank the great people/friends I've made over the years: Chaz Matthews (Dimestore Haloes a true friend since day one), Kevin McGovern (Prostitutes), Rob (Statues), Al (The Ends, Commies) you guys have been great friends. All the other Pelado bands and members of those bands thank you for being part of Pelado Records.
Distributors/Mail Order place's like Revolver, Green Hell, Choke, Cargo, Nat Records and all the Japanese stores, Mutant Pop and all the other places who supported the label over the years.
Labels like Radio Records, TKO, Mutant Pop who showed their support from day one and anyone I forgot.
