David Peaston - We're All In This Together [Frankie Knuckles & David Morales Clubbed Mix] - Video
PUBLISHED:  Feb 02, 2012
DESCRIPTION:
His mother Martha Bass was one of the Clara Ward Singers and a great gospel performer, while his sister Fontella Bass rose to fame with her R&B smash "Rescue Me". David Peaston's debut album was produced by Michael J. Powell (Anita Baker, Chapter 8) for Geffen Records in 1989. The single, "We're All In This Together" was given a New Jack Swing mix in 1990 by Teddy Riley & Gene Griffin. It reached #11 on the Billboard R&B Chart. This is the 'Clubbed Mix' - classily remixed by Frankie Knuckles & David Morales. It reached #45 on the Billboard Dance Chart & #91 on the UK Singles Chart. FK & DM replaced the single's over-the-top-crazy-happy production with a lightly tapping, melancholy deep 99BPM groove. It's a perfect fit for the lyrics and David's vocal. THIS is how to do a remix. THIS is how you sing a song!
