3RD POWER Dream Solo 2 Brian Wooten GJ2 Hellhound - Video
PUBLISHED:  Feb 17, 2014
DESCRIPTION:
The Dream Solo Model 2 is the "little brother" of our American Dream amplifier. Based on the Blackface channel, this amplifier is superb at producing full-bodied and warm clean guitar tones as well as classic American-flavored overdriven tones.

This video features Brian Wooten, guitarist with Trace Atkins. Brian demonstrates clean tones full of chime and then digs deeper into the headroom of the Dream Solo 2. He thought that the amplifier had an incredible dynamic range and headroom for a 20 watt amp so he played some riffs with a heavy pick hand attack to show how the DREAM SOLO 2 had no problems keeping up.

The original inspiration for our Blackface channel was a '65 Fender Deluxe with it's classic scooped midrange and smooth delivery of every note you play. Back in the day, scooped mids made sense as the guitar was often accompanied by brass players and horn sections.

Today, guitar players are often the primary instrument responsible for filling the midrange frequencies and yet, the spirit of the older style amps is so desirable. Enter 3rd Power's Dream Series and Dream Solo amps. Each hand-wired amplifier gets its inspiration from vintage amplifiers but is reinterpreted as if it was a polished, mastered studio recording at the root-tone level. All of the enhancements necessary to correct for vintage amp anomalies and vagaries are built into the Dream amplifiers such as, consistent frequency response, punch and sustain with the right amount of compression. These qualities are often controlled by outboard studio processors or software plug-ins but with our Dream amplifiers, they are built into the design of each amplifier we make.

You can believe this because professionals such as Justin Niebank, Dann Huff, Paul Ebersold and many others rely on 3P for their guitar tones in the studio. When performing live, players such as Joe Walsh, Hunter Hayes and Lindsay Ell rely on 3P for their tone on stage.
