"Azimuth Tape Echo" Demo ft. Patrick Bailey on Guitar - Video
PUBLISHED:  Feb 29, 2016
DESCRIPTION:
DIY Marantz Project - I built one of my "Azimuth Tape Echo's" for local LA guitarist and great friend Patrick Bailey. Pat plays in The Rebirth and Jungle Fire. Here he is testing out his new echo and reviewing how the final version sounds. Pat helped me to identify a couple of ways to make this project sound better for guitarists and it sounds much better in the end. In this PMD-222 based build, I did not need the low pass filter control on the feedback loop that I needed in the PMD-221 build. Strange, but I am sure I'll have more discoveries as I build more of these one by one. The important thing is the sound and it is fully intact and sounds as it is, an authentic tape echo.
