Pagan Babies are one of the most acclaimed Hardcore Punk bands to come out of Philadelphia. Now, years after they played their final show, they return in the form of “LAST.” This comprehensive anthology is a must-have for fans of the band and a window into the “LAST” moments of the Golden Age of Hardcore Punk.
Presented here, for the first time on CD, is a comprehensive collection of the band’s music. All of the band’s official releases have been re-mixed and re-mastered: NEXT LP, IMMACULATE CONCEPTION EP and compilation tracks. In addition, you will hear unreleased tracks, alternate versions, live tracks and early rehearsal tapes, also included, from the NEXT sessions is the classic fan favorite “Dumb Cops Attacked by Squirrels.”
The “LAST” anthology also includes the DVD documentary film, “Stories of Old,” which tells the tale of the band’s members, its history and all things “Philly.” Chronicling Pagan Babies from their pre-formation era to the 2007 reunion, the “Stories of Old” documentary film takes the viewer on a trip back in time to the Philly Hardcore scene of the mid 80’s. The DVD includes tons of never-before-seen video from the band’s personal archives, new footage and accounts of the band’s history as told by its members and fans, all against the backdrop of old Philly Hardcore haunts.
On July 14th 2007, 18 years after they played together for the “LAST” time, Pagan Babies returned to the stage for the “Legends of Philly Hardcore” show. This set is captured in a multi camera shoot and presented here in its entirety.

PAGAN BABIES are an American hardcore punk band from Philadelphia PA. founded by Michael J. McManus, vocals and lyrics, Eric Squadroni, lead guitar,
Mark Pingitore, bass, Dan McGinnis, rhythm guitar, and Bruce Boyd, drums. From their first practices in the Fall of 1986 to their last shows in the Winter of 1989,
the Pagan Babies were an active and influential band who left their mark on the hardcore/punk community.
Pagan Babies are considered one of the early pioneers for fusing hardcore punk with rap, hip hop and rock. They are equally noted for their graffiti styled album art work created by the drummer Bruce Boyd.
Although the Pagan Babies are no longer together, the band still forms yearly to play local shows in the Philadelphia area.
PAGAN BABIES inspired the fusion of many styles into the realm of hardcore punk during the late 80's.
In 1987 they recorded their first record titled IMMACULATE CONCEPTION.
This eight song 7 inch was released on Positive Force Records.
In 1988 they were signed to Hawker Records and released their full length LP record titled NEXT.
They also appeared on the 1987 Philadelphia hardcore compilation record titled DISCPAN HANDS released on Rave Records as well as the 1987 compilation WEAR AND TEAR released on Red Rhino/Cartel, England.
