STEEL THY SAX! I started playing Shovel Knight a few months ago and instantly fell in love with the music. As any sane video game jazz cover artist would do, I decided to do a 13 minute medley of the music from the game. Like Shovel Knight... I somehow came out alive.

This medley was INSANE to make. I had spring break the week that I decided to do this medley, and even with the time off from school, I still wasn't quite able to finish this medley at my normal Saturday time. Shovel Knight is such a wonderful game, and really brought me back to some of my favorite types of games from many years ago. Interestingly, I didn't really like playing the original Megaman series or Castlevania... but I really liked the gameplay of Shovel Knight. The music is absolutely superb, too. Jake Kaufman wrote this entire soundtrack using Famitracker, and I can't believe he did that. The amount of harmonic and textural complexity that's present in this soundtrack is just unreal, especially for someone restricted to the sounds of Famitracker. Kudos, man.
