"40 SURFERS WAITING FOR THE WAVE"
new album will be released in Poland, October 25th.
The new, band's third album titled "40." is neither as ascethic as "mm" nor as avant-pop-pstiche as "PPP". It's an entirely different album – mature, very emotional end energetic creation free from trends and modes. 40 surfers is hypnoitc, passionate meliodies and non-compromising, tribal one could say, atavistic tranceness. The songs' peak moments have fire and punkrock punch to it. 40 surfers is yearning for a trip, even when you've just returned from one. Restless need to move on, hunger for the new. Waking up in new places, unbriding ropes, uncovering. Melacnholy and space meets tribal dance.
On the lyrical level it contains worlds different from the real one – worlds taken out from a Strugacki brothers novel.
There's also the bear-private Wojtek, polish soldiers' buddy who fought in Monte Casino. His sotry moves to tears. Beautiful piece of history to tell "wojtek, the bear soldier".
Extremely energetic "black hawk" has broader meaning to it. It's all about war in general not associated with any particular place. The inspiration for this song was a true character – indian Sauk and Fox chief, a true indian who went by the unrepeteable name of "ma-ka-tai-me-she-kia-kiak".
Soothing and at the same time disquieting "oh sailor" is an inner desire for an unnamed place as we all ar born and immediately fall into a daydream as if it was an ocean.
