Open Mike Eagle, a member of the popular Hellfyre Club Hip Hop collective, has lately been making a big name for himself with projects like 'Dark Comedy' and this new album. This latest EP, 'A Special Episode Of', acts as a continuation of his last album by starting off with a "late show" counter to the "morning show" on the previous album. While short, this EP demonstrates that Mike is further coming into his own and forging a very unique style for himself. There are socially conscious as well as humorous verses throughout, and Mike's technical ability and flow have definitely improved. With a colorful cast of features and a wide variety of topics, this is a great introduction to OME as a whole.
