DESCRIPTION:
Hayden Karchmer, aka the Hill Country Devil, went on a ride with us in East Nashville one balmy night to play a new song he'd written. We found a parking lot in our neighborhood, and Street Fashionz served as the background. Hayden is one of the best writers i've met. Years ago i'd seen him, completely at random, playing on a YouTube channel called Guerrilla Waltz (now defunct) in his homestate of Texas. I invited him to Nashville to play a house show, and from then on i've had the pleasure of keeping up with him.

And you really have to run to keep up with his downward spiral. Since those days i've known him as a Chinese food delivery guy, door guy at a strip club, dementia ward nurse, bingo hall announcer, ranch hand, and, mostly, professional rehab visiter. He has pawned everything of value hes ever owned, and some things he didn't. And throughout it all, I kept hearing the songs, and still do.
