Digging through my old LPs, converting them to MP3, and I ran across this. It's early June, and the temperature here in my hometown of Cool, CA is approaching 100 degrees (not cool), and here I am listening to Christmas music. This is an old Roger Miller song. He wrote it for his son. Roger wrote a lot of silly stuff (e.g., "You Can't Roller
Skate In A Buffalo Herd"), but he also wrote a lot ot tender stuff, like this one. Roger's version was really nice, but I chose to use this pretty version by the Forester Sisters.
