Syd Glass - Janitors Spanner 2003 - Video
PUBLISHED:  Mar 09, 2011
DESCRIPTION:
Written and performed during the opening weeks of his mental breakdown, Syd Glass tackles this moving yet peaceful creation alone as a solo piece.

Forged from an idea about a lonely sad Janitor with only one spanner to his name, Syd attempts to sing this haunting melody and accompany it himself (via a mix) on both a six-string Spanish acoustic, as well as a Russian over-strung upright piano that was badly in need of urgent tuning.

At this time in 2003, Glass Castle had all but finished as a single unified music entity and Milk and Syd embarked on solo careers of their own around the world.

Against all odds, Syd managed to make this song available for us all to marvel at with unprecedented intrigue.
