'Mgeni mali yake OK' is an annoucement after plebiscite by the men to a girl asked in marriage that the 'mali' is OK. 'Mali' is wealth, and in the song's circumstances, it's the (financial or other) agreements between families for the marriage. In the song's circumstance the future husband is not from the tribe or the village of the future bride, he's a foreigner (Mgeni). OK is coming from english (not like O.K. jazz...). Because of some kind 'swahilisation' of foreign language, you can ear in the song te expression 'mali yoke' who is a gramatical accordance between the noun 'mali' and the word 'OK'. In the '70s Tanzania was displacing a lots of population from their ancestor land and had a policy to encourage inter-ethnic marriage. (Paul Becquart)
