Hi, I have decided to upload this concert from March 2016 - I give a brief introduction for 4' 15" then the music begins - I will post more Tabla material soon for the followers of my tabla tutorials - this is part 1 of the concert , Rag Maru Bihag and is accompanied on Tabla in Vilambit Ektaal ( NOT Vilambit Teental ) & then Drut Teental - I don't have any Indian Classical footage on my channel so I might as well post this as to having it sitting on the shelf gathering dust - Playing slow Vilambit Ektaal is a challenge in keeping one's concentration and it correct as there are no solos in this style - I do love the relaxed atmosphere of a nice slow theka though - I don't think we are ever happy with our performance and i don't want to make excuses but i was genuinely quite ill on the night which was a shame as i could have dazzled a bit more and also excuse the "look" on my face at times as i was in pain but i still enjoyed playing this concert with Nicolas very much - i found the sound feedback a bit of a problem but this was out of our/my hands - the Tambura drone is a bit loud ,too, in my opinion but we live & learn (hopefully) ;) bhilaj Parts 2 & 3 of this concert will follow.
