Dave Nemesis Whalen

Most people would know David Whalen's sound from the popularity of the drum and bass music group known as "VISIONARY" (a.k.a. "DIVISION1"), formed out of the late 90's underground dance scene, and comprised of David Whalen and DJ Marcus Sills. "VISIONARY" is signed to over a dozen drum and bass labels. David Whalen and Marcus Sills also originated the profile record labels "Dance Rock", "Lion Dubs", "Rock Steady", "Rock&Groove", and "Dub Rock Soundsystem", all of which have international distribution and major radio airplay worldwide, especially on BBC 1xtra Radio._ Right now, David has brand new music placement in a feature film in theatres worldwide entitled "THE SAMARITAN", starring Samuel L. Jackson. The film used a dubstep-influenced track entitled "LUCID" and another track entitled "BEAUTIFUL NIGHT", this one featuring vocals from ETOILE, of David's new band, ADDICTED TO LIPGLOSS._ As well, thanks to a government grant from TRILLIUM (a Canadian fund for youth related projects), I have now taken on an extra (but cool!) job building new studios inside locations of the youth help organization St. Alban's Boys and Girls Club in Toronto, to bring young and troubled minds into music, and demystify the art of engineering and production for the future generation._ PEACE AND RESPECT to all those who are supporting ADDICTED TO LIPGLOSS, DAVID WHALEN, VISIONARY, and DIVISION1, both in the record shops, online, and on dancefloors worldwide!
