DESCRIPTION:
From Elton John's 1971 album "Madman Across the Water." The lyrics are Bernie Taupin's commentary on music critics during the first couple of years of Elton John hits. It's the only track on the album that included Elton's live band, Dee Murray on bass and Nigel Olsson on drums, plus Ray Cooper on tambourine - long before he joined the live band! The Cantores in Ecclesia Choir, directed by Robert Kirby, provided chant-like chamber singing.
