O! K! Well, now that I've just passed the 250 videos milestone (watch out, Raymond Crooke!) I thought to celebrate with a full-band (so to speak) rendition of this lovely tune. This being my third video featuring this very tune. I also wanted to expunge in my own mind the embarrassment of how sloppy and unsightly my original solo-12-string version was in 2007, back when I first started posting these things. Oddly, that has been my most popular music video, as slipshod as it was. Just shows to go ya.
This is just about a replica of the Rooftop Singers' version. I suppose I could try for more originality in the 12 lines, but hey, those monster Gibson riffs from 1963 are etched deep, deep into my early musical neural pathways, and anyhow, nobody ever nailed the 12-string thunder better than Erik Darling and Bill Svanoe did with them memorable Leadbellyish licks.
