Koichi was born and raised in Tokyo, Japan. When he was 17 years old, he moved to the United States and entered high school. He started his musical career as a DJ in early 90's. He spins wide variety of music such as Hip-Hop, Regae, Afro beats, funk, Boaloo, soul, and so on. He is also into producing and engineering; he has worked with legendary hip-hop artists such as The Beatnuts, Truemaster(wu-tang), Buck wild, The Beat Minorz, Greg Nice in different places. His style of music is always rhythmatic. He utilizes vitage gears such as Fender Rhodes 73, Farfisa combo organ, Doepfer analog patch synth, Yamaha DX7 with Akai Mpc 4000.Most of the time, he samples from 70's records and play instruments over the beats.
