Vahishta (heaven). Persian metaphysical history depicted by the Faravashiha (Spiritual Manifestations of the better self): Sefidsorush (White Angel), Sabzsorush (Verdant Messenger), Simrud (Silver River), Banafshin (Violet), Firuzin (Turquoise), Golsorkh (Rose), Azarfam (Fire Hue), Zarafshan (Gold Sprinkling), Golafshan (Flower Sprinkling), Darakhshan (Brilliant), Daryagun (Sea Hue). Choreography - Katherine St. John & Dr. Lloyd Miller plus dancers from U of U CDE. Music - Parisa with Dr. Safvat’s students; intro - L. Miller & Azar Hashemi. In 1978, Dr. Miller was delegated by director Sr. Daryush Safvat to bring dozens of tapes of traditional music archived at the Center for Preservation and Propagation of Iranian music to the US to release on tape then eventually CD. Dr. Miller and his non-profit were contracted for this purpose by the National Iranian Radio and Television. This is the music used for Eastern Arts dance videos. On this video we see:
I. Khojaste Zist (Blessed Existence) depictsing ancient Achaemenian Persia.
II. Payam (the Message): Sabzsorush represents and presents a metaphysical spiritual message.
III. Bakhtar Bad (Western Wind) depicts the advent of Occidental imperialist influences represented by red, white and blue.
IV. Sorush (Angel Messenger): in all white Sefidsorush represents spiritual enlightenment through erfan (mysticism) joined by Banafshin and others.
V. Firuz Aseman (Turquoise Sky): rediscovery of Persia’s rich mutual heritage shared by various peoples in the area.
