The Swingberries sono una piccola meraviglia del jazz classico. Il gruppo sorprende per la sua formula fuori dal comune - paragonabile ad un'orchestra da camera -un mix interessane di ritmi ed arrangiamenti e un repertorio quanto mai variegato, che attinge ai grandi della musica, spaziando da Duke Ellington a Johann Strauss, da Count Basie a Jacques Offenbach e, addirittura, da Fats Waller ad Elvis Presley. Tra i componenti del quartetto spiccano i nomi di Jérôme Etcheberry, trombettista già apprezzato in passato dal pubblico di Ascona, e quello della clarinettista e sassofonista Aurélie Tropez, alla sua prima apparizione al festival.



The Swingberries are a small jewel of classic jazz. The band surprises for its extraordinary formula, comparable to a chamber orchestra, an interesting mix of rhythm and arrangements and a broad repertoire that goes from Duke Ellington to Johann Strauss, from Count Basie to Jacques Offenbach, and even from Fats Waller to Elvis Presley. The quartet members include Jérôme Etcheberry, trumpeter who, in the past, has been appreciated by the audience of JazzAscona, and clarinetist and saxophonist Aurélie Tropez, for the first time at the Ascona festival.
