BIOGRAPHIE
Le saxophoniste et compositeur David PREZ a étudié au Conservatoire de Lyon (France) de 1997 à 2000. Il a obtenu une médaille d'or à l'unanimité et avec les félicitations du jury. Il a ensuite étudié aux USA et en France avec David Liebman, Michael Brecker, Jerry Bergonzi. En 2004 il enregistre son premier disque à New York en compagnie de Bill Stewart (dms), Johannes Weidenmueller (bass) et Franck Amsallem (piano). Il dirige son group à Paris avec le guitariste Romain Pilon, le contrebassiste Yoni Zelnik et le batteur Karl Jannuska. Ils ont sortit 3 disques pour les labels Fresh Sound New Talent et A.P.O. Records. David a joué notamment avec : David Liebman, David Doruzka, Laurent Coq, Pierre de Bethman, François Moutin, Nicolas Folmer, Keziah Jones. et sur de nombreuses scène internationales : Jazz à Vienne, MIDEM de Cannes, Le Printemps de Bourges, Malta Jazz Festival, Brussels Jazz Marathon, Bancko Jazz Festival (BG), Trova Festival (Cuba), Deer Head Inn (USA), Cargo (UK), Mercati Generali (IT).
BIOGRAPHY
Saxophonist & composer David Prez studied at Conservatory of Lyon, France, graduating in 2000 with the highest level jazz diploma and the congratulations of the examining panel, and furthered his studies in the USA and with David Liebman, Michael Brecker, Jerry Bergonzi. In 2004, he made his first recording as a leader in New York with Bill Stewart (drums), Johannes Weidenmueller (bass) and Franck Amsallem (piano). In Paris he is currently leading his own group together with Romain Pilon (guitar), featuring Yoni Zelnik (bass) and karl jannuska (drums). The Prez Pilon Group has made 3 recordings to date for labels Fresh Sound New Talent and A.P.O. Records.
