Massimo Buonanno is a talented drummer/percussionist/songwriter/producer and educator currently working mostly in Europe and the United States
As a young prodigy ,Massimo began playing drums at age 13 in his native Egnach , Switzerland, and quickly created demand for his skillful playing within the local music scene
At age 15, he recorded his first solo recording, titled “The Rhythmind” and played across Switzerland with a variety of bands. By age 16, he was a in demand as a session musician in Switzerland, Germany, Austria, and Italy Considered by his peers and mentors to be one of the best drummers emerging from Switzerland, Massimo Buonanno has an incredible drive to keep growing as a musician.
Participating in numerous drumming and percussion competitions since 1999, Massimo Buonanno won First prize four times at the Swiss National Drum Contest, First Prize at the Best European Musician Contest; twice he was awarded First Prize at the Drums & More Festival in Austria; and he also won First Prize at the “Jeff Porcaro Tribute Contest” in Germany.
The Berklee College of Music Boston, awarded Massimo with a partial scholarship for academic study, which he completed in January 2011.
Accomplished as a drummer by the age of 26, Massimo Buonanno’s achievements include playing on more than 80 cd’s for a variety of artists.

Since the year 2009 Massimo Buonanno is proud to endorse Premier Drums . Hes also completed different series of Clinic Tours with Orlando Ribar ,Walter Keiser and Wim Dykstra.
Most recently he has recorded for different artsist such as the Album of the Top-Selling Swiss Popband Myron. Also he just finished a Swiss Tour with Phi Dankner ‘SEAT Music Session that features Top Artsist from Germany ,Switzerland and the UK.
He completed a European and Asian Tour with the Claude Diallo Situation and recorded two Cd’s and and one DVD with th Group.
Massimo also produce a short 3D Movie in Coorparation with Kamerawerk ( A Swiss based Production Company). The Movie is Called “ DUALPHASENSTAHL”. It was also shown with big success at the Hollywodd 3D Filmfestival.



Hes starting palying the first Shows with he’s own Band called PLASTIC 909 . This features the amazing Yuki Kanesaka on Keys and Reuben Cainer on Bass. In the meanwhile he is recording the album of the band that is coming out in the Spring of 2011
