From Swedish Folk to New York Funk! - MARQUE GILMORE & GÖRAN MÅNSSON

KULT-U-REAL™ proudly features the extremely talented Swedish flautist Göran Månsson in a multifaceted & improvised collaboration with New York drummer/producer Marque Gilmore on "Acousti-Lectric Drumz" and electronics = FOLK, FUNK & FLUTES!

KULT-U-REAL is a live music-collaboration, workshop and concert performance project bringing together musicians and creative artists from different musical & cultural backgrounds to create new musical works for live performance and for KULT-U-REAL's developing A/V Educational Archives - To express the concept that "Music is the Universal Language to help all people from all cultures communicate and share their belief in a better future."

Göran currently ranks as one of the most exciting and dynamic flute players on the Swedish folk music scene. As a descendant of one of Sweden's celebrated folk music families, Göran is actively furthering the Swedish folk music heritage. He performs with both the folk music group Gjallarhorn and folk-pop group Sarek (Eurovision, 2004). He is a graduate of the Royal College of Music in Stockholm and teaches at Royal College of Music in Stockholm, Sibelius Academy in Helsinki and Oslo Music Conservatory.

He has received numerous UK arts grants & special music commissions, a 2010 Grammy Nomination for the Omar Sosa CD Across the Divide, (Halfnote Records/NYC)... Over 23 years of work with high-level pop, dance and R&B artists, underground dance/electronic music innovators, classical music virtuosos, African master musicians, Bengali Sufi singers, Indian classical artists, World Music & Rock'n'Roll icons and Jazz legends.

KULT-U-REAL is born from this cultural ethos and this re-launch event focuses primarily on the quality of the musical collaboration and concert performance aspect of the full KULT-U-REAL project - to highlight the future activities for the 2013 season of concerts, remix-club nights, youth workshops and master-classes designed to develop the individuality of young artists and Musicians here in Sweden - the concept at the heart of KULT-U-REAL in Stockholm.

The location of Stallet as the new home for KULT-U-REAL was a clear decision in order to focus on the quality of the process of the collaborating artists - from the first sound of the opening concert all the way to the final bass vibrations of the 2013 Concerts, Workshops & Remix-Club- Sessions.
