UPDATE / JULY 2003:

Gilmore has just returned from performing in MALI, West Africa working with Cheick Tidiane Seck, Toumani Diabate and the Malian Minister of Culture after continued touring in the UK, US, China, Africa, India, and Europe with DRUM-FM and State of Bengal. Most recently, Marque toured with the Jazz-Fusion Pioneer JOE ZAWINUL (founder the legendary group Weather Report) in Europe, Scandinavia and Russia becoming an official member of 'The Zawinul Syndicate". Plus, he has just recorded a new album with the classical pianist Katia Labeque for Radio France International, and finally mixed & released the live DRUM-FM concerts from the Hackney Empire and Barbican Centre on his new tribal broadcast recordings label. Marque is joined by friends and Tribalists, old and new, for this 4th installment of SPHERE at Cargo.
