Vancouver house DJ/producer Jay Tripwire first appeared on Nordic Trax in the year 2000 on Necessary Pieces 2. Since then he has gone on to release over 200 records on as many as 50 labels, in the process becoming one of Canada's biggest house music exports. Labels that have released his work include, Moulton Studios, Tango, Casa Del Sol, Movim, Utensil, Nightshift, Double Down, Lost My Dog. His most recent 12 inch, 'Everytime', was chosen as House "Sureplayer' by DJ Magazine, and "single of the month" in Night Magazine. As an in-demand remixer he has touched up tracks by artists such as Danny Howells and H-Foundation, while his own cuts are featured on commercially released mix CD's by Slam, Nick Warren & Danny Howells, Chris Fortier, George Morel, Tyler Stadius, Onionz & Joeski, and charted by everyone from John Digweed to Terry Francis to Fred Everything.

A crisp, Jazzy affair, the Gastown Shuffle EP will appeal to a vast range of DJs continuing to show the growth of Jay's recent productions. Side A is a jazzy sax number with a deep dub and saxopella dj tool.
