Luigi Rubino the pianist member from Ashram has created his own singular side project to express through neoclassical evocations a whole musical world focused on the mother of night, a musical poem made of exquisite lyricism and profound romanticism, exploring the ways of sonata and letting the listener to perceive multiple influences from classic composers (Amongst the noticed are Chopin and Beethoven). For the creation of this album Rubino has recruited a whole repertoire of musicians gathered as session players. We can see multiple strings exemplified with a Viola, Cello, Violin and Rubino himself conducting the piano with two female on the vocals represented by a soprano and a mezzo soprano that serve as choral accompaniments and transcend the album into the category of chamber music. The album opts to be more focused on classicism and abandons any flirt with pop or any ethnic veil, so this aspect grants the album this aura of sublime aspiration, far from any pretentious stand as vanguard or experimental, full of classic purity and cult direction. In a way this is the more approximate soundtrack for the Romantic soul, not only becoming a provocative suggestion on Selene but an image reflection from a epoch and a way of feeling. ...
