DESCRIPTION:
Libythth - Dizzolve a Diamond [2000] Phthalo Records PH20

psychedelic experimental electronic music from USA

Obscure electronic artist Libythth debut album on Phthalo Records.
Dizzolve a Diamond is an exercise in the overuse of electronic sound, a truly disorienting experience.
This act of opposition to the tyranny of dance music went largely unnoticed and remains virtually unknown. In an alternate universe this album is widely regarded as an essential classic.

useless information:
Tracks 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, and 7 were composed in 1998 in San Francisco using an Ensoniq TS12 keyboard and Akai S20 sampler.
These were recorded in their final form along with track 8 onto four track cassette in 1999 in Brooklyn, NY.
Track 4 was created on a Macintosh computer using SoundEdit16 and was recorded in mono.
Vocals on Track 8 are Qrqyt Ixoteptek with a bad cold using a broken pair of headphones for a mic.

Dizzolve a Diamond was first released as a limited edition CDR on Libythth's own "label" Borbid Torpor Undertainment in early 2000.
Libythth then moved to Los Angeles and sent a tape of Dizzolve a Diamond including the second album Almost a Trillion Dollars as a demo to Phthalo Records. Both albums were released on Phthalo in 2000 and 2001 respectively.

I my own self, Qrqyt Ixoteptek, created all the music and artwork in this Libythth video.
However since it is available on iTunes and Spotify, something called Believe Music owns the copyright, preventing me from monetizing my own work and collecting that fraction of a cent from its meager play count. The album has never been promoted in any way so uploading it myself to YouTube with the blessing of Phthalo Records is the ONLY thing potentially directing anyone to buy the album. So in the end it doesn't matter if you buy it or just listen to it free, or don't listen to it at all. Nobody will ever make any money and nobody will know the album exists. Everybody loses. Namaste
