Libythth - Almost a Trillion Dollars [2001] - Video

DESCRIPTION:
Libythth - Almost a Trillion Dollars [2001] Phthalo Records PH27

psychedelic experimental electronic music from USA

Irrelevant electronic artist Libythth's second album on Phthalo Records. A funkeyer, more colorful and expensive (cheaper) follow up to Dizzolve a Diamond.
This attempt to attract more listeners with a less punishing sound while remaining strange and uncategorizable went largely unnoticed and remains virtually unknown. In an alternate universe this album is widely regarded as an essential classic.

useless information:
All tracks except track 1 were composed in San Francisco in 1997 or 1998 using an Ensoniq TS12 keyboard and Casio CZ1000 keyboard.
Final versions including Track 1 were recorded in Brooklyn, NY in 2000 on a digital multi track recorder with guitar, drums, record scratching and effects added.
Twinkly song interludes were made on a Macintosh computer using SoundEdit16.

Almost a Trillion Dollars was first released as a limited edition CDR on Libythth's own "label" Borbid Torpor Undertainment in early 2000.
The artwork in that early version had a blue background color scheme which proved too difficlult to print for the Phthalo CD due to RGB/CMYK conflicts. This conflict was resolved by changing the background color to red.
Libythth then moved to Los Angeles and sent a tape of Dizzolve a Diamond including Almost a Trillion Dollars as a demo to Phthalo Records. Both albums were released on Phthalo in 2000 and 2001 respectively.

I my own self, Qrqyt Ixoteptek, created all the music and artwork in this Libythth video.
However since it is available on iTunes and Spotify, something called Believe Music owns the copyright. The album has never been promoted in any way so uploading it myself to YouTube with the blessing of Phthalo Records is the ONLY thing potentially directing anyone to buy the album. So in the end it doesn't matter if you buy it or just listen to it free, or don't listen to it at all. Nobody knows the album exists and nobody will make any money. Namaste
