A request from a former student of mine! Thanks, Delena! Appreciate that! This is one if two songs I heard that made me totally dig Elvis. I knew OF Elvis: Hound Dog, Jailhouse Rock, Teddy Bear and all the big hits. However, one day...

A scientist named Sam Beckett stepped into the Quantum leap accelerator... And vanished! He awoke to find himself in the body of a young, pre-fame Elvis and this song, along with Blue Moon of Kentucky were two songs Sam/Elvis performed in order to convince Sam Phillips to give him a chance (in the TV show anyway).

When I heard Scott Bakula sing these songs I was drawn into them, and immediately sought out Elvis's other raw rockabilly recordings and immediately was a fan. These weren't the polished recordings the oldies stationed played at all. These were three guys, Elvis, Scotty, and Bill just jamming and making music for the fun of it. I loved it all and hopefully that comes across in my own recording of this classic tune.
