The Gibson HD.6X-Pro Digital Les Paul Guitar - Video
PUBLISHED:  Jun 19, 2010
DESCRIPTION:
Gibson calls the HD.6X-Pro Digital Les Paul the "first guitar of the 21st century." This guitar uses a proprietary system to transmit data from a real Les Paul (with six mini-humbuckers, one per string) to a breakout box called "Bob" via cat-five cable, and from the box to your DAW. The whole Gibson HD.6X-Pro setup is fascinating, even for a guitar purist who would never dream of plugging a 'puter cable into an axe. The guitar in the demo uses IK Multimedia's AmpliTube for effects, going from Bob into SONAR. See and hear this Les Paul in action from the floor of Summer NAMM 2007.
