DESCRIPTION:
Process of creating;

Anna Emilia Laurila was asked to perform at the opening of the art gallery called "Syvissä vesissä hohtavat olennot" /"luminous creatures of the deep waters" by Olli Ruikka. Art gallery was about Jellyfishes, so Anna Emilia started to create her new performance called "Jellyfish" with artists Olli Ruikka and Emilia Kyösti.

Soon when Anna Emilia was discovering the "jellyfishness" in her she found it really interesting and fascinating as on the one hand jellyfishes so calm and like angels of the seas and on the other they have this interesting sometimes really dangerous and mysterious colourchanging-light and electricity.

Character was slowly starting to form itself and Anna Emilia really started to feel like she is becoming a canal to some really strong creature from the underwaters who has some really important and strong message to the world through Anna Emilia's art. In the end of the creation process, just day before first performance, the name of the character ended up to be "Meduusaenkelikuningatar"/ "Jellyfishangelqueen".

Anna Emilia still doesn't really understand what this strong creature is saying though her but... let the art speak its own language....

Soon by "coincidence" Jyväskylä's circus school, Cooma Dance Academy and Parkour Akademy was starting to create their huge collaboration show at Jyväskylä's Paviljonki called "Atlantia". The show was all about deep underwaters so of course Anna Emlia's character "Jellyfishangelqueen" was soon planned to be part of the show by Erika Forsberg.

There was unfortunately no good videomaterial from the first performance at opening of the art gallery, but from the huge collaboration show called "Atlantia" was enough good videomaterial.

So here you are able to see a clip from the show "Atlantia" from the scene where this "Jellyfishangelqueen" was part. It was connected to circus children's scene where the children were as "Merentonkijat" / "Grubbers of the bottom of the sea"
