"Wedding Bell Blues" was recorded in June 1966 by Laura Nyro, a very talented singer, songwriter, and pianist. Released as a single in September 1966 it reached #103 on the Billboard Pop Singles chart and was included in Laura's debut album, More Than A New Discovery released January 1967 on the Verve Folkways label. The song's cover by The 5th Dimension was a number one hit in 1969. The album is available on CD under the title, The First Songs on Sony.
