It was John Garcia's latest visit to Montreal since Kyuss Lives! burned a hole through Montreal two years prior, and all the diehards had shown up to the Corona Theater on September 23rd, 2013 for more weathered desert rock because that's just what desert rock fans do.

Along with his principal music partner Brant Bjork, guitarist Bruno Fevery, and Corrosion of Conformity bassist Mike Dean, the band appeared for the first time as Vista Chino, hot on the heels of releasing their Napalm Records debut, Peace. We were fortunate enough to speak with John Garcia, arguably one of the finest and most distinctive classic rock'n'roll singers of the past 30 years, about life, society, family, and the abyss better known as the music business.
