DESCRIPTION:
Mirka = Irina Tishkna - Eirini Ghini [1916-1946]
A teacher from Rousilvo, Pella GR, participated actively in the resistance
against the occupying forces of Nazi Germany.
The first woman sentenced to death in modern Greek history.
Executed in Giannitsa, 26th of July 1946
[ beginning of the Greek Civil War ]
