DESCRIPTION:
Ken Coomer is a three-time Grammy-nominated drummer and producer and original founding member of Wilco. He was with Wilco for eight years, touring and recording A.M., Being There, Summerteeth, Yankee Hotel Foxtrot, and Mermaid Ave Vols. I & II. Prior to that, he was a founding member of the post-punk band, Clockhammer, and a member of Uncle Tupelo, recording the ground-breaking album Anodyne. As a drummer, he has played and recorded with legendary soul icon, Al Green, Fitz and the Tantrums, Steve Earle, Sheryl Crow, Frank Black, Emmylou Harris, William Bell, Malcolm Holcombe, Roger McGuinn, Phil Lesh, Billy Bragg, Tim Finn, Jars of Clay, Little Jimmy Scott, Lambchop, and many more.

As a producer, Ken has reached out to artists from all over the world, focusing on multiple genres and indie artists. Ken has received multiple gold and platinum records and number ones for his production work. His production credits include Batusis (with members of New York Dolls and Dead Boys), Paul McDonald and Nikki Reed, Chetes (Mexico), Toy Horses (Wales), Sugarplum Fairies (Austria/Los Angeles), Lori Meyers (Spain), Son of the Velvet Rat (Austria), The Latebirds (Finland), and Amaral (Spain), and three albums with Nashville’s own Will Hoge, one of which featured the song “Even If It Breaks Your Heart” – Grammy-nominated Song of the Year. In September 2009, Ken was featured in an article entitled “The Producers” in Mix Magazine for an upcoming book by Rick Clark, Mixing, Recording, and Producing Techniques of the Pros.
