Nataly’s Corner welcomes the music of Kendall and Kelvis Duffie, the mastermind producers behind the Kloud 9 sound. Brothers Kendall and Kelvis Duffie are vocalist, arrangers, and songwriters having started out musically at an early age. I’ve quoted this once before about the Duffie twins…and I’ll say it again. Mrs. Duffie is sure to be outrageously proud of her sons Kendall and Kelvis. Their mother, a church musician herself, was instrumental in how they got started in music because she would bring them to various church talent functions. These brothers began their career arranging, writing, and performing gospel, having opened for gospel group “Take Six” and gospel duo “BeBe and CeCe Winans”. Kendall was introduced to the iconic “Bluey” of soul jazz group “Incognito” in 1999 and that relationship put the careers of the Brothers onto the path they are in now. Smoothly laid back is how I would describe their soulful vocalist style, capturing the essence and flow of sweet soul on their albums.
