KARNATRIIX’s music has elements of jazz, blues, rock, trance, funk, and classical sounding in perfect harmony with the Carnatic kritis of Saint Thyagaraja. It is not a traditional melody trapped in a melting pot of
sampled copy-and-paste grooves topped by more samples of ambient
keyboard and bass textures. The music, with a contemporary feel, has
been woven carefully around the traditional melody, entailing months
of study and a clear and very deep understanding of the different styles
and rhythms used in the compositions.
KARNATRIIX features John Anthony on guitars, Ustad Faiyaz Ahamed Khan on vocals/sarangi, Josy John on Bass and Shomi Davis on percussion.
The concept album has songs that are based on a trip from dawn to dusk, a dialogue between man and nature and a link between the known and the unknown. The album also contains groovy yet brilliantly melodic compositions by Saint Thyagaraja.

Karnatriix is the brainchild of one of India's most accomplished musicians, John Anthony. A guitar virtuoso, he has been mesmerising
audiences for over 3 decades in India and overseas.
In an illustrious career that began at the age of 14, John has
travelled the fretboard in virtually every genre of music - jazz, blues,
rock, western classical, Indian classical, Indian movie soundtracks .
