Kelly, Tiva and Timo: The original members of Kapena. I met them for the first time in 1988. I so badly wanted to play like Kelly "Boy" DeLima. But no one can ever duplicate his technique. Kelly's ukulele skills are out of this world! He'll never play the same solo twice, so every time you see him play, it's like watching him the first time.
This group has electrified audiences for 30 years and have inspired countless musicians and groups along the way. The original 3 have not performed on stage together in 15 years. They are currently preparing for One Last Hana Hou. Saturday, September 26, 2015 at the Waikiki Shell will be the last time you will see the original line-up.
