Junyan Natasha Liu, an award-winning cellist, received her professional music training in Asia and Europe. Her accolades include winning the Cavatina Chamber Prize by Cavatina Chamber Trust, UK and the Cardiff Violin Prize. Natasha holds a Masters in Music with distinction in performance from the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, UK.

Since then, Natasha has launched a successful performing career. Besides playing with the BBC National Orchestra of Wales, she was engaged as a soloist and chamber musician in many countries throughout Asia and Europe. Natasha has extensive performance credentials, including cello recitals at the Wales Millennium Centre (UK) and St. Marks Cathedral (Venice), as well as a successful tour of Denmark with broadcasts on Danish Radio. In 2005, she was invited to play at St Catherine's Dock (London) in celebration of the Singapore Season, for which former Prime Minister of Singapore, Mr. Goh Chok Tong was the distinguished guest-of-honor. Her popularity grew after several public appearances, including a performance on UK ITV for Queen Elizabeth II on the Royal Variety Show in 2005.

Since returning home to Singapore in 2007, Natasha contributes to the local music scene as one of the most active and sought after concert cellists in the region. She has been invited to play for Spotlight Singapore in Moscow (2008), the inaugural President's Command Performance (2009) and the National Day Parade (2009). She contributes actively to the chamber music scene as a member of I-Sis Trio, a unique combination of harp, violin and the cello. With regular performances throughout Asia, their music has been described as a new wave of classical chamber music.

Natasha can be heard on numerous recordings for films, the BBC Electric Proms as well as music by Iskandar Ismail for the Marina Bay Countdown in 2009. She launched her debut CD album "Moments" with Katryna Tan on harp and a DVD with I-Sis Trio (2008).

Natasha’s artistry is both mesmerizing and passionate. As world leading cellist Julian Lloyd Webber describes, Natasha is “an excellent cellist with the personality to go with”.
