When I think of Ish Smith I think of a person who rises to the occasion in every facet of life. I see a young man who persevered to solidify his role as one of the best true point guards in the NBA, period. Here's a hometown hero out of Concord, NC, who excelled in college at an elite ACC university, and goes undrafted in 2010.

His journey from 2010 to where he currently is speaks volumes, and his resilience is nothing short of remarkable.

He got picked up by the Rockets in 2010, then dropped to the D-League in Rio Grande Valley, then rose back up to the Grizzlies in 2011-2012. He was acquired by the Warriors, then picked up by the Magic in 2012-2013. He was acquired by the Bucks (2013-2014), then by the Suns (2014-2015). He then went on to play for the Thunder, the Sixers, and Pelicans over the course of (2015). His return to Philadelphia in late December of 2015 led to
Smith signing a three-year, $18 million contract with the Detroit Pistons on July 8th, 2016.

Watching Ish play is what every aspiring point guard out there should be doing. His fundamentals and ability speak for themselves.

From a life standpoint, we all experience ups and downs throughout our journeys. For the dreamers and achievers out there, we sometimes feel as though we are playing for the wrong team every day we don't do what we love, and/or see results from our skills/gifts/crafts.

Be inspired to live your dreams and achieve them and, "BALL OUT LIKE ISH SMITH," no matter how many hoops you may have to jump through to get there.
