Joey Ryan is a hard working Irish blues singer songwriter based in Wexford/Cork, who has started to receive recognition in Ireland and abroad for his style of guitar playing and songs. Starting out 3 years ago on the singer/songwriter night circuits in Wexford and Kilkenny, Joey has now developed his playing and music to another level. Joey to date has played all over Ireland, and is gaining more and more support wherever he plays. His musical talents have seen him secure gigs and support slots with many world renowned and international musicians such as Jeff Lang, Jack L, Clive Barnes, She Keeps Bees, Mark Geary, Hayseed Dixie, Tucan and Thomas Leeb. Having brought out two albums previously, 'Fracture' in 2009 and 'Hope in Razorbeams' in 2008, Joey is hard at work on his 3rd full length album , 'Dusk', which see's a much more matured and diverse style of song writing and playing than before. His live shows are not to be missed- Full of energy and emotion, he is also known to improvise freely on songs which changes from night to night, keeping it interesting for himself and the audience. 2010 has been an immensely busy year for Joey and has seen him tour abroad and tour widespread in Ireland, promoting himself before 'Dusk' gets its release later in the year. With the release, a UK and Ireland tour will follow, along some other appearances.
