DESCRIPTION:
Danny Greenspoon started out as a long haired kid playing hot licks on the guitar at the Yellow Door Coffeehouse in its early days and has gone on to a varied and highly accomplished musical career as a guitar player with the greats, a record producer of countless albums, a songwriter, film music composer, radio producer and college teacher. Joel Zifkin began his performing at the Yellow Door at around the same time, as a member of the band Harlequin, and as a violinist for many others around the coffeehouse. He went on to a career performing and recording with too many great musicians to mention here, and spent many years as the violinist in Kate & Anna McGarrigle's touring band, touring the world, and is now a member of Richard Thompson's band. Danny and Joel returned to their old stomping ground and teamed up for this set at the Yellow Door Coffeehouse 50th Anniversary Gala Concert on 12 November 2016.
They are joined, on the second song, by Stephen Barry, Michael Jerome Browne, and Aron Glazer on bass, guitar and percussion.
