DESCRIPTION:
Having, at some point, been dubbed "The Original Hong Kong Cowboy" in the early days of the Yellow Door Coffeehouse because of all the old country songs he sang back then, David Young kept that turn of phrase in the back of his mind until it emerged in this song about real people he'd seen in the streets of Hong Kong. He sang this at the Yellow Door Coffeehouse 50th Anniversary Hootenanny Open Stage on 11 November 2016, accompanied by Peter Weldon and Joel Zifkin (both of whom were members of Kate & Anna McGarrigle's touring band).
