Hi to everyone who doesn’t know me my name is Jenny-Lynn, thank you for visiting my myspace. I'll tell you a little about myself, I grew up in the the village of Braunton in sunny Devon, in England. It was a wonderful place to grow up, spending days by the sea and surrounded by beautiful countryside.

I have been singing since I was a little girl. I used to spend hours with my dad sitting on the stairs singing while he played guitar, so I suppose I can say my dad has been my biggest inspiration in music. My whole family always encouraged me. I appeared in school plays and did live performances but it wasn’t till I won a BBC television program 'Steps to the Stars' then sang on 'Live and Kicking' that I realized that it was my dream to be a singer. I just loved the feeling I got from performing.

When I was 13 I recorded an album of songs, which my dad had written for me. We went on a tour playing holiday parks, shopping malls, festivals and theatres. I will never forget those days! Our four wonderful dancers, our quick outfit changes all squashed inside a coat closet or in the toilets with my mum sewing on buttons and fixing our hair, we had a lot of fun! A lot of the music on that album was quite country and I was even asked to sing at a festival in Tennessee, my dad came with his guitar and we played acoustically it was a great experience.

As I got older and matured in music I started trying lots of different styles and was in many bands. When I left school I went to performing arts college where I studied singing, dance and drama; it gave me a lot of confidence and many unforgettable memories.

I am now 21 years old and have been living in London for just over two years. I can’t believe how fast the time has gone. I have already moved three times which is the most I’ve moved in my whole life. But I’m now happy with my boyfriend in our tiny flat not far from the river. As much as I love the city life, I think I’m a country girl at heart. So any chance I get I’ll go home for a couple of days to smell the fresh air and find some inspiration.

My time in London has been a great experience. I've had ups and downs and learned a lot about myself, songwriting and performing. I've also had a lot of fun! I found some great musicians and now have a wonderful band which really brings my music to life. With my fabulous co-songwriters I've recorded my first album and I'm really excited about 2009, I really hope that things are gonna take off with my music. I will be playing a lot more gigs so it would be great if all my myspace friends could come along, would be lovely to see you there. x
